#else gruesst ist eine kreative Bilderreise durch meinen Alltag – im Fokus: Menschen, insbesondere Frauen, in uninszenierter Bewegung. Meine Fotos entstehen in U-Bahnstationen, auf Bahnhöfen, in Einkaufsstraßen, auf Rolltreppen. Sie erzählen Geschichten – von Menschen, die zur Arbeit eilen, die hasten, um den Zug noch zu erreichen, die vor dem Regen fliehen oder einer Verabredung entgegen schlendern. Abseits des Mainstreams fotografiere ich nach meinen eigenen Regeln – ohne auf Blende, Zeit, Schärfe und Pixel zu blicken. Es entstehen Fotos, die oft einen zweiten Blick fordern und manchmal die Erwartung des Betrachtenden irritieren: soll das jetzt bewusst so sein?
Statt einer eingefrorenen, erstarrten Bewegung, die nur noch aus dem Kontext zu erkennen ist, schaffe ich durch das Bewegen, das „Wackeln“ der Kamera Fotos, die durch die Bewegungsunschärfe eine eigene Dynamik behalten – lebendig sind. In meinen Instagram-Stories ergänze ich meine Fotos durch Musik als eine weitere „bewegende“ Dimension.
Schon als junge Frau habe ich sehr häufig unscharfe Fotos gemacht – Fotos, „die andere sofort wieder löschen würden“. Heute bezeichne ich mich als ambitionierte Amateurfotografin und als Fotokünstlerin des Fotogenres ICM – intentional camera movement.
Ich lebe in Köln, bin viel mit dem Zug unterwegs und ziehe durch Straßen und Stationen – oft selbstvergessen auf der Suche nach farbigen Bewegungen.

Erste Fotobuchprojekte sind „Farbauftritte“, „Moving Moment“, „Sneak a Peak“ und „#else grüsst“. – entstanden in Zusammenarbeit mit der Fotobuchdesignerin Mirja Hespe. Ein weiterer Bildband „blurred women“ ist in Arbeit. Ich veröffentliche meine Fotos seit 2019 bei instagram unter @elsegruesst.

#else grüsst is a creative visual journey through my everyday life – focussing people, especially women, in unstaged movement. My photos are taken in subways, at train stations, in shopping streets, on escalators. They tell stories – of people rushing to work, hurrying to catch the train, fleeing the rain or strolling towards an appointment. Away from the mainstream, I photograph according to my own rules – without looking at aperture, time, sharpness and pixels. Photos are created that often demand a second look and sometimes irritate the viewer’s expectations: is that supposed to be the case now?
Instead of a frozen movement, which can only be recognized from the context, I create photos through the movement, the shaking of the camera, which retain their own dynamic through the motion blur – are alive. In my instagram stories, I add music to my photos as another “moving” dimension.
Even as a young woman, I very often took blurred photos – photos “that others would immediately delete”. Today I describe myself as an ambitious amateur photographer and as a photo artist of the photogenre ICM – intentional camera movement.
I live in Cologne, travel a lot by train and wander through the streets and stations – often self-absorbed in search of colorful movements.

The first photo book projects are „Colour Appearances“, „Moving Moment“, „Sneak a Peak“ and „#else grüsst“. – created in cooperation with the photo book designer Mirja Hespe Another photo book „blurred women“ is in progress. I’ve been publishing my photos on instagram since 2019 under @elsegruesst.
